Rescan for new files in database

Is there a way to scan through folders to pick up new files, or a way to merge the current database items into a new db? I don't want to lose the work I've put into the current database, but need to add about a thousand new files to it.

Hello,

You can either

1) Use "Add Video Folders" button. Videonizer will skip existing files and add only new ones.
Please keep in mind - there is a Setting called "Use checksum calculation to prevent file duplication". It checks the content of files ignoring filenames.
You can turn that Setting ON or OFF. The speed depends on that Setting.

2) Export the list of items in XML format (under "DB Tools" button). And then import the list to another DB with "Skip existing Items" option.
