Can VTM add a check for update function like Videonizer? This makes updates more convenient and makes it easier to know when updates are available.

Updating VTM requires downloading a new installation package, and some settings will be overwritten after the installation is completed.

2) VTM installer checks for the size of Base Presets.
But it looks like sometimes the size could be the same with your custom preset.
I will change the approach.

The installer checks the date of Base Presets not to overwrite the modified ones.
Implemented in VTM 25.1.0.0.
