Is it possible to embed a produced thumbnail image into a video as the first frame. This way, it would show up in the preview pane in Windows Explorer as the same file.
If not, would you consider adding this as a feature in lieu of saving the thumbnail to disk?

If you asking the developer of VTM to directly edit a video and insert something into it, then I don't think it's not going to happen.
VTM is a screen capture (Frames) from a video and in no way edits the video. VTM is not a video editor and therefor can't edit and insert something into any video.
PS - I'm not trying to mini-Mod, just offering my opinion on the subject.
