How to take out text shadow?

Hi,

You can either use a bit different background color to make the difference negligible,
or
I will have a look into the code and make that part transparent

I changed the background:



Now the problem with the shadow is not so bad. But I have a new one: The corners of the images are white. Shoudn't they take the background color? Be transparent?
