Avast! Screwed me with VTM

So I was going to create some thumbnail previews because I needed to do some posting and low and behold the shortcut on the old desktop went bye-bye....
I looked and looked and could not find it.
I went to the x86 programs folder but that had the old version then I remembered that the new version updated into the users profile (I'm the only user on this PC)
So I looked in the users folder and ther was the program but the exe was GONE!!
I thought WDF???
Ok I know what to do , just update the old .....but Noooo Avast! got in the way at 99% updating and gave me a pop up blocking messg....

I had to delete the folder in the users folder then reboot then turn off Avast! then reinstall the update while running the program as ADM.
Even though I am always logged in as adm under my profile, I know not safe (Bla,bla, bla) But there's things I do on a daily bases that I need to be logged in under an ADm profile so it's just easier for me that way.
Soo the long and short of this post is that Avast! sees something in VTM that it doesn't like and removes the exe in the program.
Now like most anti-virus programs it's running all the time in the background and if it sees something it doesn't like it will remove it or throw it into the quarantine folder. Now I didn't see it in there so it must have removed it while I was doing something else, like watching TV.
You can set up an exemption in your anti-virus like I had to do to make sure this doesn't happen , but it shouldn't have happened in the first place, IMHO.
