I really love your program.

That said, is there a way to have the names of the files in the "View" mode, like when you are in the "Edit" mode?.

The main idea of the VIEW mode was to place as much thumbnails as possible, so the answer is no.
I could add the feature if it is really necessary, not sure.
BTW you can still hover the mouse and see the filename in the Info Panel.
