Vertical JPG's make distorted thumbnails

I need to make framed thumbnails for 4 different size 150x150 thumbnails from JPG pictures: 1600x900, 1024x768, 900x1600, and 768x1024. The horizontal JPG pictures look good and are nicely framed. The vertical pictures are stretched (distorted) to fill the 150x150 thumbnail. I very well may have an option set wrong but not sure which one. Hopefully I've gotten the option screen to attach correctly. What do I need to do to get the vertical pictures to retain their scaling and be properly framed?

Have you tried to use "10% of the highest picture in the row" in "Tile Max Height" section?
