I'm re-visiting this thread to close it off (so to speak).

Whilst i can barely believe it's been 18 months since my last post here i never did stop occasionally downloading and testing Trusteer Rapport in the hope IBM would release a fix for the bug that was causing issues with VTM, sadly that never happened and now it's moot after two of the banks i bank with no longer support Trustee Rapport.

One of my banks displayed the following when i logged into my online account several days ago:
Important information for IBM Rapport users

**NEW**
We're committed to helping you stay safe and secure online and are continuously investing in new fraud prevention tools and the latest security technology to keep you protected online.

Following a review of our existing services, from 31st January 2019, we will no longer offer IBM Rapport software. The security and fraud prevention technologies we now use provide you a higher and far broader level of protection.

As a valued Online Banking customer, you will continue to be protected as part of our Secure Banking Promise.
There was/is no reason given for that decision by the banks, suffice to say that as my banks are now pulling support for Trusteer Rapport i have no need (nor wish) to chase IBM for a resolution any longer... given the time that has past i seriously doubt IBM were ever going to release a fix.

HTH.
