Posted: 15 Jun 2014, 01:10
This topic is related to Video Thumbnails Maker and its VTX feature.
Using VTX files, you can start the video from the moment from which the thumbnail shot has been taken.
Concurrently you can choose any of video players installed at your computer to play the file.
The selected player should support the ability to play a videofile at specified position.
Other wise the video will be started from the beginning.
The list below is updated for VTM version 15.3.0.0.
Section 1. Fully supported video players.
You can start the video from any position, using the following video players:
- Media Player Classic Home Cinema (32 and 64 bit)
- Media Player Classic BE (Black Edition)
- Media Player Classic
- VLC media player
- Zoom Player
- Daum PotPlayer
- BS.Player
- KMPlayer
- MPlayer (SMPlayer and MPUI)
Section 2. Partially supported video players.
You can start the video from any position, but the player will treat your position as the beginning of the video:
- Windows Media Player
Section 3.
You can start the video from start position only:
- Gom Player
- Light Alloy
You can ask developers of that players to add command line support to start a video file at specified position.
If your video player is not listed here, please make a request here.
Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
