VTM 10.0.0.4 allows you to select right file easily by using "Locate video" feature.

You can choose any format, I will have a look.
I must admit usually there could be errors in event viewer even when everyhing is ok on PC.

My idea was to use a Virtual Machine. Probably, VMware Workstation Pro, probably Oracle VM VirtualBox. You can install a fresh Windows 7 there + .NET4 Client Profile (Client profile is enough to run VTM). I mean - could you just try to turn security soft off one by one?
I do not want you to harm your data or PC or something else, that is why I am asking you to perform a test without a risk.
Virtual machine could be an option in that case.

Have you tried to use a virtual machine?
It is most likely that a program from your security software list slows down VTM for some reason.
My advice is to try to run VTM in a safe environment without that software.
Is it possible?
